 Hey guys how's going on? It's Don here from NovaSpiritTech and today we're gonna check out an Arcade controller kit made by Monster Joystick, so let's get started Before we get started I want to mention that I always get contacted by these companies asking to do review on arcade controller kits and such Now I do my due diligence and look up their company and most of time They're really you know not up to my standard And it's not something that I want to advertise out to you guys until this company And this company actually uses name-brand buttons and joysticks made by Sanwa so if you guys are familiar with building these machines You would know that these are name-brand products and they're really good Now the ones that they ship is the silent one so it doesn't have that clicking which has a better feel to it The joystick is also very responsive What's best about this whole entire kit? Which comes with a hat that you can put on top of the Raspberry Pi and the setup is easy And with that type of setup and not using a USB setup you get almost no Input Lag, which is awesome Especially if you are gonna be using this for an arcade machine playing Marvel vs. Capcom or something This kit actually has two different bodies one made out of wood and the other one made out of high-impact Polystyrene or plastic Which is glossy on top And that's the kit that I'm going to be showing you guys today And the installation process is extremely easy You can actually find them online or they'll ship with a manual with like three pages that has like nine steps to get everything through Now I'm going to show you quickly how I put this together Now that everything is all together the next step is to set up our Raspberry Pi We're gonna be using Retropie And we're gonna be using Etcher to load that image into the SD card As soon as that's done, you pop it into the Raspberry Pi The setup is pretty easy drop into a setup process by hitting f4 And then from there you would just do the retropie setup And then you would go through the options and select SNES version 1 controller When that's done Reboot the machine and it's gonna detect the controller itself Obviously you're gonna need to provide your own Raspberry Pi, your SD card, a Keyboard just for this setup process, an HDMI and power cables Once that's all said and done, that's it and it literally took me about like half an hour to put the whole thing together Including the setup process with the Retropie Now if you guys need more details on how to operate with Retropie I do have another video I'll leave a link in the description in on the card right up here And here's a little clip of me smashing the way at Marvel vs. Capcom So if you guys enjoyed this video please hit that like button, if you guys have any questions about this hit them in the comments below I do also want to thank ETA prime for helping me I actually reached out to him because I had ran into an issue trying to emulate a game And he figure it out for himself.
